Wonderful growth experience at the Virginia Beach 3-day weekend. Jason and his team of active-duty operators were extremely inspiring, motivating, and professional. They truly WANT to see you succeed and become a better version of yourself, a version perhaps hidden but there, nonetheless. I am planning to participate in future events and highly recommend to anyone . You will not only push your own limits but also learn about what it means to serve in the US military: to lead, to be accountable, and to hold yourself to a higher standard than the average civilian. Iron sharpens iron.

Look, I’ve been to five of these events and I’m more of a skeptic than fanatic by nature; these experiences are extremely valuable and well worth the time, money, and effort to travel to and attend. No event has gotten any easier (although the SF Challenge is more endurance based), and each has shown me a different part of myself to improve and work on. Jason is a one of a kind guy who puts a lot of effort into knowing his students and guiding them personally. Jason is calculated and measured, and as a former D1 athlete myself I can tell you that he is an excellent coach/trainer both knowledgeable on the topics and an excellent teacher. Jason keeps it straight forward and honest when needed, and at times uses a patient and curious approach to his athletes. Jason takes the time to know his athletes when there is time, and when there isn’t (by design) he gets them squared away swiftly and directly. These events are intense. Jason is a fair and honest man, and every bit of suffering at these events is calculated and designed to help you accomplish your goals. You will learn culture, work ethic, expectations, LEADERSHIP, grit (you must choose this!), techniques for specific selection based evolutions, chain of command, professionalism, and more valuable lessons to prepare you for any selection course in the U.S. military. The cadre at each event are incredible individuals who care deeply about teaching students how to be better in any way they can for the selections that they will face. I have gained amazing mentors from this event, and a professional approach to both my training and demeanor that will serve me well going forward in my career. I highly recommend prioritizing SOCOM Athlete events and resources in your training schedule. Optionally, there are faith based social resources that come from these experiences as well. You will have one on one time with current special operators, the experience of visiting and training on military bases, and group Q&A with current operators and recruiters alike. I’ve been set on my chosen path and goal, however, these events have opened my eyes to how many different jobs and communities in U.S. SOCOM operate, their culture, and what they do. Regardless of what your chosen pursuit is, learning about these different roles in U.S. SOCOM and how they differ from your chosen path is valuable for your career; all different components to the same larger team. Seeing the demeanor and standards of the cadre from many different walks of the military first hand has been great for my understanding of the varying lifestyles and expectations of these special careers. As I watched an active duty Navy SEAL jump into the pool to demonstrate a front flip to a 50m underwater it struck me the focus and intention that culminates at these events.

I attended the hellday in Georgia earlier this year, it tested me and showed me my weaknesses. I look forward to attending one more before I ship out!!!

SOCOM ATHLETE is the most badass and community-focused event for America’s aspiring young warriors. I have been to 3 Hell Days, with my first one being when I was 16, and the most recent being the first-ever New York Hell Day as an active duty Marine.

I remember being blown away at my first Hell Day by the caliber of young men around me. It brings together some of the greatest young leaders and men in America and gives them the opportunity to develop themselves and find a community that supports them to the fullest. I’ve stayed in contact with a great number of the boys and have seen them go on and earn it.

SOCOM ATHLETE is run by the most elite and professional warriors out there, men who care about training up the next generation and making sure you are entering their community as prepared as possible. I can’t speak highly enough of Jason and his commitment to each of us; he didn’t just create an event; he created a community that every young stud out there knows about and is proud to be a part of.

I did the New York hell day event and all I can say is, it was such a cool experience and I really enjoyed it especially with the people who were in that group. it was challenging but never to the point that I wanted to quit I loved ever second of that day I got to experience just a glimpse of what special operations is and I loved every second of it and will forever cherish this experience. Also Jason is such a fucking honest and funny and cool dude I thought when I got there he was gonna be a super serious dude but that man is such a cool dude and he is everything you can ask for in a mentor and I really appreciate Jason.

Denver Special Forces Challenge was very well organized and a volunteered day of fun. I can say that this was one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. According to my watch, we covered just around 21 miles through rucking, running, team events, and preparing. It was enlightening, knowledge gaining, and definitely a testament to what the human body is capable of. I loved the day and felt taken care of as well as challenged!

The Atlanta 6 Hell Day event was an incredible experience. Jason and the other cadre were extremely professional and not only held us to a standard of high performance but also gave great mentorship throughout the event. I was able to learn more about myself and how I perform when stressed out, tired, and working with others to accomplish tasks. I’m looking forward to working on my weaknesses and returning to a future Hell Day event to see how my numbers improve.

The Atlanta 6 event is my second Hell Day event and taught me more about my strengths and weaknesses. Going to these events is a great way to see how you will perform in the unknown. I believe everyone performs better at their home, in their gym, or local track. Going to these events takes yourself out of your comfort zone. Very grateful to have had the opportunity to come back and improve with high-caliber people. I learned a lot more than I thought I would, it’s hard to explain until you’ve gone.
